And I Found Bliss


The sleepy night did put to bed
The kids, the old, the newly wed
The world bathed in a Land of Dreams –
A land of heavenly Light beams..

The hypnotic Night in Sleep did sink
The World because – well I do think –
It wanted to spend Time with me
To love me and to set me Free –

From all my sorrows and all tears,
From Worldly tensions, frets and fears
And soak me up in its Pure Love –
In Love of Him who Dwells Above..

The wind chime on my window-sill
Did chime and make the Music spill
The dainty music floated by
In light breeze of the Velvet Sky..

It rang so softly in my ears
I felt so full of joys and tears
I sat up and looked at the Moon –
Clad lightly in the Cloud cocoon..

My heart jumped – I wanted to do
Something to show my Love for You
I sat up in the Dark and played
The piano – as the trees all swayed –

All to and fro while I did play
Upon the Strings of music gay
The wind chime and the mellow Breeze
Did fall in tune with me with ease..

Suddenly far away I heard
The same tune, the same floating Word
It played with me –I was delighted
The fiery passion was ignited..

I played the first – it played the next
A Silent tête-à-tête betwixt –
A Distant unknown soul and me
A Soul, it seemed, of Love and Glee..

A strange in-comprehensive Chord
Was struck between us and the Lord
And all night I did play and kiss
The keys and strings and I found Bliss…

Sapling

Down the forest path lined with dried up red and yellow leaves, a lady made her way as dawn broke out over the sky and the little village in the distance vanished from sight.   She was dressed in a flowing white robe, tied up at the waist with a silvery green shimmering ribbon. Her long auburn hair, flowing carelessly in the slightly chilly morning breeze, was tied up with a similar ribbon – or was it a little vine? The Colorful Lizard

I looked up at the sky – the only splash of blue amongst the myriad hues of green and brown that surrounded me on all sides. Not a single white cloud attempted to stain its cerulean charm, and in that moment, all I could wish for was wings – wings to fly and touch the blue up above, to let it soak into my skin, to become the sky… I looked down at my feet – a muddy shade of brown, blending into the earth beneath me – and sighed. As I did so, I felt my color turning slightly darker, and a sense of foreboding started creeping up my back. It always did when I felt my skin taking on a hue darker than what was around me. To block it out, I closed my eyes and turned my face up towards the sky again, feeling its brightness from behind closed lids and a warmth spread through me. “It’s the colorful lizard!” The high-pitched voice of a baby squirrel interrupted my thoughts.
